In commercial real estate, long-term success rarely comes from one skill alone. It comes from understanding the full system. Michael Sealy has built his career around that idea. Today, as Director of Corporate Strategy at Sealy & Company, he brings a rare, ground-level view of how deals, development, and capital all connect.
His path was not rushed. It was built step by step, across roles that gave him a full picture of the business.
“I’ve worked in every department that makes up a full-service operating platform,” Sealy says. “That experience shapes how I think about strategy today.”
Michael Sealy grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana, in a family deeply tied to business and real estate. His father, Scott Sealy Sr., spent more than 60 years in the industry. That influence came early.
“I was raised around hard work and accountability,” he says. “That sticks with you.”
At Loyola College Prep, Sealy stayed active in sports. He played football and reached the state final game in his senior year. That experience helped shape his mindset.
“Football teaches discipline and teamwork,” he says. “You learn how to push through challenges and rely on others.”
Those lessons carried forward into both college and his career.
